Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of PuzzleNook, operated by 1607948 B.C. LTD. (“PuzzleNook,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using PuzzleNook, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. About PuzzleNook
PuzzleNook is a digital puzzle service that provides word, logic and related games and features.
The ordinary PuzzleNook game experience is intended to remain available without requiring a user account.
We may change, add, remove, replace, suspend or discontinue games, features, content or functionality from time to time.
2. Eligibility
PuzzleNook is a general-audience service and is not specifically directed at children.
If you are under 13, you should use PuzzleNook only with the involvement of a parent or guardian and should not create an account or provide an email address without their involvement or consent.
3. Guest Use
You may use PuzzleNook as a guest without creating an account.
Guest progress, preferences, game history and other information may be stored in your browser or device. Clearing browser data, changing devices or using a different browser may cause locally stored information to be lost.
We do not guarantee that guest data can be recovered.
4. Optional Accounts
PuzzleNook may offer optional accounts so that players can save and synchronize progress, statistics, preferences, achievements, puzzle history or other game information across devices.
An account is not required to access the ordinary game experience unless we clearly state otherwise for a particular feature.
If you create an account, you agree to provide accurate information and to maintain control of the email address or other authentication method associated with your account.
If you choose a third-party sign-in provider such as Google, your use of that provider is also subject to the provider’s applicable terms and privacy practices.
You are responsible for activity conducted through your account and for maintaining the security of your access credentials and email account.
We may suspend, restrict or terminate an account if we reasonably believe it is being used in violation of these Terms or creates security, legal or operational risk.
5. Account Deletion
If account features are available, you may request deletion of your account by contacting us or by using any account-deletion tools we make available.
Deletion may remove or de-identify account-linked gameplay information, subject to reasonable retention for legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup or other legitimate purposes.
6. Acceptable Use
You may use PuzzleNook only for lawful, personal and non-commercial purposes unless we give you written permission otherwise.
- Do not interfere with or disrupt PuzzleNook, its servers, databases or infrastructure.
- Do not bypass access controls, security systems, usage limits or technical restrictions.
- Do not access administrative interfaces, databases or systems without authorization.
- Do not scrape, harvest, crawl or systematically extract PuzzleNook content or data except through ordinary use or with written permission.
- Do not use bots or automated systems to play, solve, collect or interact with puzzles in a manner that is not part of normal human use.
- Do not reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive source code except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- Do not exploit bugs or vulnerabilities to gain an unfair advantage or interfere with the service.
- Do not use PuzzleNook content to create, train, populate or operate a competing puzzle product, database or commercial service without permission.
- Do not copy, republish, distribute, sell or commercially exploit PuzzleNook puzzles, content, graphics or software except as expressly permitted.
7. Puzzles, Scores and Game Results
PuzzleNook is provided for entertainment. Puzzle difficulty, scoring systems, statistics, hints, results, rankings, streaks and game mechanics may change over time.
We do not guarantee that a puzzle is error-free, that every valid word or answer will be accepted, that every score will be preserved, or that historical statistics will remain unchanged if game rules or systems are updated.
8. Intellectual Property
PuzzleNook and its content are owned by or licensed to 1607948 B.C. LTD., subject to any third-party rights and licences.
You are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use PuzzleNook for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
9. Sharing Puzzle Results
PuzzleNook may provide tools that allow you to copy or share game results, scores or other generated sharing content. You may use those sharing tools for personal, non-commercial purposes.
10. Feedback, Bug Reports and Word Requests
You retain ownership of any original content you submit. By submitting feedback, you grant 1607948 B.C. LTD. a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, incorporate, develop, publish and otherwise use that feedback for any lawful purpose related to PuzzleNook or our business, without compensation or obligation to you.
11. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in the PuzzleNook Privacy Policy.
12. Third-Party Services
PuzzleNook relies on third-party infrastructure and services to operate. Those providers may have their own terms, privacy practices and technical requirements.
13. Future Paid Features
PuzzleNook is currently offered without paid subscriptions or purchases. We may introduce subscriptions, paid features, premium access or other paid services in the future. Before you make a purchase, we will disclose the applicable price and any material terms relating to billing, renewal, cancellation, refunds and access.
14. Service Availability
PuzzleNook is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free or compatible with every browser, device or operating system.
15. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all representations, warranties and conditions, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy and uninterrupted operation.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 1607948 B.C. LTD., its directors, officers, employees, contractors and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, goodwill, data or use, arising out of or relating to PuzzleNook.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid directly to PuzzleNook during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim and any minimum amount that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit.
17. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless 1607948 B.C. LTD. from claims, losses, liabilities, damages and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of PuzzleNook, your material breach of these Terms, or content you submit in violation of another person's rights.
18. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using PuzzleNook at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to an account or feature where reasonably necessary because of a violation of these Terms, security concerns, fraud, abuse, legal requirements or material interference with the service.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time as PuzzleNook evolves. If we make a material change, we may provide notice through the website, account interface, email or another reasonable method.
20. Governing Law and Courts
These Terms and any dispute relating to PuzzleNook are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in British Columbia.
Subject to any rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law, you and 1607948 B.C. LTD. agree that disputes will be brought before the courts of British Columbia, Canada.
21. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
22. No Waiver
If we do not enforce a provision of these Terms in one instance, that does not waive our right to enforce it later.
23. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented for a particular feature or paid service, constitute the agreement between you and 1607948 B.C. LTD. concerning your use of PuzzleNook.
